General Information

We’re located on Highway 29, outside of Danielsville, GA, in Madison County—just outside Athens, GA and about 1.5 hours from both Atlanta, GA and Greenville, SC. While we proudly serve the Northeast Georgia community in person, we also work with customers nationwide through phone and email. Most custom firearms, Cerakote jobs, and gunsmithing services can be arranged remotely and shipped to your local FFL. Visit or contact us.

Currently, we only sell firearms in-store. We plan to offer online firearm sales in the future and will update our website when that option becomes available.

Yes. If you purchase a firearm online or have one shipped to us from another dealer, we will receive it and coordinate with the sending FFL to ensure all legal and ATF requirements are met. Our standard transfer fee is $25 if you have a Georgia Weapons Carry License (CWP) and $30 if you do not. Contact us before initiating a transfer to confirm details and any state-specific requirements.

Yes. We can ship firearms to another FFL on your behalf—for example, if you’re traveling for a hunting trip, moving, or sending a firearm for warranty work. Outgoing shipments are priced on a case-by-case basis.

You must provide a valid government-issued photo ID and complete a federal background check (ATF Form 4473) at our store. State-specific requirements may apply, such as a Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) in GA or waiting periods. We will guide you through all legal requirements for purchase or pickup.

Yes. We stock a wide selection of firearm parts, optics, magazines, cleaning supplies, holsters, and accessories. If you need a specific brand or component not in stock, we can special-order it or recommend a local vendor. Ammunition sales follow all federal and state regulations.

Yes. We accept trades and may purchase firearms depending on condition and demand. For consignments, we accept operable handguns and long guns with clear legal title that comply with federal and state law. Items should be clean and in saleable condition. Our standard consignment commission is 25% of the final sale price; minimums or alternate rates may apply for high-value or estate items. Contact us to schedule an appraisal and discuss terms.

Yes. We create durable hard cases with high-density foam inserts that are laser-cut to fit your firearm and accessories—perfect for travel, transport, and field use. Bring your firearm and gear in for measurements, and we coordinate with our manufacturer to produce the case. Turnaround time is about one month, and prices start at $500 depending on size and layout. Each case is water-resistant, crush-resistant, and TSA-approved, with optional laser engraving for names, logos, or serial numbers.

Yes. While we don’t sell safes or locks directly, we can recommend secure storage solutions that balance safety and accessibility. Provide your needs (number of firearms, space, budget) and we’ll suggest sizes, security levels, and reputable local or online retailers.

Section 8 Armament holds our firearm licenses and manages all retail sales and gunsmithing services — including custom builds, repairs, and firearm-related fabrication work. Section 8 Fabrications is our sister company focused on non-firearm projects, such as engraving/etching, manufacturing industrial parts, and producing in-house designed 3D-printed parts sold in-store and on eBay.

NFA / Title II Items & SOT 2 / Class 3 Services

As an FFL 07 and SOT 2 license holder, we sell, manufacture, transfer, and work on NFA-regulated items such as suppressors (silencers), short-barreled rifles (SBRs), short-barreled shotguns (SBSs), machine guns, and any other weapons (AOWs). We perform gunsmithing services on these items, including Cerakote, part installation, customization, and repairs, which are all fully compliant with ATF regulations.

Customers must provide a valid government-issued photo ID, fingerprint cards and photographs. We guide you through every step to ensure full legal compliance.

Yes. We assist with all ATF paperwork and legal compliance for NFA item transfers, ensuring a smooth and fully legal process.

Yes. We are an FFL and SOT and you must ship from an FFL or SOT. Once your item arrives and the work is complete, we’ll coordinate return shipment to your preferred FFL or SOT. Contact us for detailed shipping instructions and compliance guidance.

Yes. We are licensed to perform all ATF-compliant NFA engravings, including manufacturer, city/state, and serial markings. This includes suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and other regulated items.

We follow our Abandoned Suppressor Policy, which may include storage fees or forfeiture. Customers are responsible for timely form processing and pickup.

Appointments, Payments & Warranty

No—appointments are not required. Walk-ins are welcome for retail purchases and quick services. For custom builds, Cerakote consultations, or detailed gunsmithing work, we recommend scheduling an appointment so we can dedicate the proper time and attention to your project. NFA-related appointments are available on Fridays. Call us to set up a time.

You can call, email, or submit a quote request through our contact form. We work with customers locally and nationwide.

We accept cash, major credit and debit cards, local checks (from local area banks), and certified checks in-store. Online or phone orders can be paid via secure checkout or invoice. Custom work typically requires a deposit, usually 50%, to begin the project.

Yes. Physical gift cards are available in-store and may be used for any of our products or services.

Yes. We offer a 10% discount on products (not services) for active and retired military, veterans, and law enforcement. Proof of service is required when ordering.

Yes. All gunsmithing, Cerakote, engraving, and custom work is guaranteed for craftsmanship and function. Misuse, unauthorized modification, or failure to follow maintenance guidance may void coverage.

Firearms are final sale due to federal law. Returns or refunds for accessories, parts, and other non-firearm items are accepted within 30 days if items are in original, unused condition with proof of purchase. We assist in manufacturer warranties for any parts sold through our store.

Custom Firearm Builds

We specialize in full custom builds including rifles, pistols, 1911s, AR and AK platforms, shotguns, and precision firearms. Each build is tailored to your specifications—whether for hunting, tactical use, competition, or personal defense.

Yes. We offer Cerakote finishes, laser engraving, stippling, slide milling, barrel threading, suppressor installation, optics mounting, trigger upgrades, optics, Tritium night sights, and more.

Lead times vary based on workload and parts availability. Most AR and AK builds take a couple weeks, 1911 builds average 6+ months, and custom bolt-action rifles can take up to 12 months due to component lead times (action, barrel, stock). We’ll provide a detailed timeline once your project is scoped or quoted.

We start with a consultation—either in person or by phone—to define goals, platform, and budget. Once approved, we source or machine parts, assemble and fit the firearm, test-fire and tune, and apply finishes (Cerakote, engraving) if requested. We will notify the customer if there are any delays and when work is complete.

Yes. Nationwide customers can ship firearms via FFL-to-FFL transfer. We coordinate return shipment once work is complete.

Cerakote Finished & Laser Engraving

Cerakote is a ceramic-based firearm coating that protects metal, polymer, and composite parts from corrosion, abrasion, and wear while allowing virtually unlimited color and pattern customization. Compared to alternatives like powder coating, bluing, hydrographic finishes, or anodizing, Cerakote provides superior durability, maintains precise tolerances on moving parts, and is ideal for both functional protection and aesthetic customization.

Typical turnaround time is 2–4 weeks depending on design complexity and workload. For intricate graphics and colors, additional weeks may be quoted. Timing is confirmed once your project is scheduled.

Yes. Many customers ship slides, frames, or complete firearms via FFL-to-FFL transfer. We provide detailed shipping instructions to ensure compliance and safety.

Yes. We offer precision laser engraving for firearms, magazines, NFA markings, logos, serial numbers, and custom designs.

Yes. We also coat and engrave knives, scopes, tumblers, tools, golf clubs, knife scales, industrial parts, and other items that benefit from a durable, customized finish.

Gunsmithing & Repairs

We offer repairs, restorations, cleaning, accurizing, barrel threading, trigger work, optic mounting, refinishing, parts installation, and more.

We do not perform work that is illegal, unsafe, or outside our licensing/facility capabilities, including converting firearms to fully automatic, handling stolen/prohibited firearms, or factory-level mass production. For specialized operations outside our scope, we refer customers to appropriately licensed facilities.

We do not work on air guns or firearms equipped with forced-reset triggers (FRTs).

Yes. We handle vintage and antique firearm restoration, bluing, refinishing, and sourcing replacement parts when available, preserving appearance and safe function.

Yes. Full AR-15 services are offered—trigger installs, barrel swaps, optics mounting—as well as tuning and more.

All firearms require a valid ID and a signed Gunsmith Work Authorization Form, provided in-store, outlining service terms and conditions.
